I loved Bob when he played here. He was younger when he played the bulk of the games. He would go down early sometimes, and he isn't the biggest so it's big upstairs to shoot at. But I'll tell you he might be one of the quickest goaltenders post to post that I've ever seen. His athletic ability is through the roof. |

How much is the asking price for RJ Umberger?? And we want the healthy motivated Umberger, grilled to perfection, double cheese, extra veggies and Mayo. Need that kind of Sandpaper in the playoffs. Bozak Komi??? |

Umberger's a risky pick up. He's got 4 more seasons at 4.6 after this season. |

I couldn't imagine they'd want a pending UFa who's gonna be overpaid in a few months. A first this year would be more than enough. Umby has a wretched contract |

Well done. If it wasn't for Dubinsky and the Dorito, I'd be a serious fan. |

problem with Bob the first 2yrs is was endurance for a longterm season he starts off good but then he struggles towards the end. So i just think he never had the stamina for a long season. But i expect him to be really good still when he gets it all down. Never saw a guy who was so athletic and flexible. |

Heck, I might be convinced to take Colborne and a draft pick or maybe just Colborne for Umberger. I like Umberger but unless he is scoring 20-25 goals he's not worth $4.6MM per. And then considering he's got 4 more years? Thanks Howson. |

This 10 game stretch he's been flat out terrific. Prior to that he was really good too but was more or less alternating games with Mason. I say at minimum Columbus should look to replace Mason with someone they can count on to make 20 quality starts next year. Whether that is a UFA or if they think McElhinney can be that guy doesn't really matter. |

If it would help get a better pick or prospect the Jackets should consider taking $1 million of his salary. He looks a lot more attractive at a $3.6 cap hit. |
